Yellow golden color, small white head. Decent biterness in the taste, quite like it.(6-3-8-3-14) Re-rate 11-11-11 @ Cafe Buitenlust: hazy, opaque yellow / golden color, decent white head. Smell slightly sweet, some bitter. Taste malts, bitter, little bit earthy. Soft carbo, low to medium body. Still a nice, fresh beer though. (6-2-7-3-14)

Not as bitter as their Spring Warrior. Liked that one more. Pretty much an average beer.

Bottle claims 6.8%, rather than 6.4% Very good yellowish head, fed by lively carbonated orange beer with a faint haze. Creamy nose, bit spicy, spicy malts, faintly toasted. Even more spicy taste, pepper and rootspices, bitterish, on dry wholemeal pasta background. Bitter honey. Bitter chocolate warming up, yeastesters more obvious. Yet later, the bitterness finally acquires a hoppy (EU) streak. Medium bodied, quite slick; balance achieved in the palate. Nice beer, spicebitter instead of hopbitter, despite no spices used, apparently.

Bottle at St Albans BF 09. Hazy copper with lasting beige head. Puke, sweet NL malt aroma which I don’t like. Some hop on end. Really quite poor.
