Tap at Warsaw location. Wheat malt and fresh ripe raspberry aroma. Pink tinged golden with a small white head. Wheat malt and earthy, lightly sweet raspberry flavor. I was surprised that the wheat flavor actually stood up to the raspberry. Medium body and carbonation. I’m not a huge fan of raspberry beers, but I actually enjoyed this one.

Draft: Poured a hazy yellow with some pinking, head was white. Aroma is raspberry. Taste has a blend of sour wheat and sweet raspberry. The mix of both brings a very balanced finish.

On tap at the Bloomington Beer Festival. Poured a cloudy orangish pink with a white head that laced nicely. Aroma was full of raspberry notes, a combination of both tart and sweet. The flavor was dominated by the raspberries but not overwhelmingly so and there is a bit of a wheat finish.

Draft - Cloudy pink color, very distinct raspberry aroma... it goes down easy and the flavor is dominated by the raspberries. There’s some malt there too and little hops balance to be had. It’s too thin on the palate. The bartender told me that many people ask for it to be mixed half and half with one of the other beers. Given the thin palate and dominate raspberry flavor, I can see why. It’s alright, but you better want something fruity and sweet.

Bottle. Nice fresh raspberry malt aroma. Ruby red color - cloudy but next to no head. Flavor a disappointment - watery raspberry flavor - little malt flavor and no hops. Pretty blah. Rerate 5/30/07 - better flavor and body - flavor more tart and full.

Ahh! Raspberry syrup! Where's the beer? Ruby Raspberry was a reddish-brown beer with an off-white head. Aroma and flavor were raspberry syrup; no more, no less. Again I ask, where's the beer? Apparently it is difficult to make a good raspberry ale.
