Intens aroma van banaan met een frisse citrustoets. Volmondig met nuances van steenvruchten en citrus die worden geaccentueerd door de hergisting op fles. Fijnbittere, gebalanceerde afdronk.

300ml, mine was with 9% ABV. It has light aroma of fruit. Crisp and complex taste with bread and a syrupy floral sweetness. Excellent balance of elements hides the high ABV well.

Bottle from the Royal Standard, Cambridge. Light to mid-gold, extremely clear. Not so much obvious carbonation. A slight must in the aroma, with candy sugar and a surprising but enticing whiff of sulphur. The sulphur is present in the taste as well and does a wonderful job of cutting the sweetness and balancing the drink nicely. Some pronounced hop bitterness in the finish also challenges the sugary taste. Not your average Tripel but certainly an enjoyable drink.

33cl bottle. Hazy orange pour with a tall but short-lived white head. Smells of Belgian yeast, honey, caramel, elderflowers and that oxidation smell common to most Belgian ales. The taste follows the same notes, bitter-sweet and quite enjoyable.

0.3 l bottle from local AH at 9% abv, bottled in April 2015. Clear, golden yellow with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, yeasty-spicy, slightly fruity aroma of banana, vanilla, clove, straw and hints of booze. Sweet, yeasty-spicy, slightly fruity taste of banana, vanilla, clove and some honey, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, yeasty-spicy, lightly warming finish. Medium to full body, effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Quite tasty, maybe a bit too sweet.

Clear medium golden colour, small frothy white head, mosly diminishing, almost no lacing. Aroma light malty, caramel, vanilla, honey, yeast, alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter, toffee, malty, spicy notes. Medium to full body, creamy texture, average carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, quite malty and spicy. Very nice solid tripel, perhaps a bit on the sweet side but balanced by its spiciness.

Bra balans. Snygg och elegant, kanske lite väl "ren" smak. Klassisk trippel. Gott.
