Vrij lange, kruidige afdronk.

750 mL bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville. As of this moment, this is the tenth most rated beer I have not yet rated. Pours a slightly hazy rust color with a large frothy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of dark malts, brown sugar, candied fruits. The taste is brown sugar, plum, dark fruits, mild spice and apple skins. Medium bodied, slight warmth, low carbnation. Nice beer.

Mørk brun med høyt krem/lys beige farget skum. Lukter malt og noe karamell. God fylde og sødme i smaken. Medium bitter i ettersmak.

Bottled, 0.25l. Pours hazy amber brown with medium frothy light brown head, good lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, yeast, raisins, dates, plums and alcohol. Taste starts sweet malty with sour fruity and yeasty following, warm alcoholic and spicy mouthfeel and mild bitter finish. Full body, thick texture and fizzy carbonation in palate. Typical Belgian strong ale...

8.5% bottle from Ohtsuki shared at Christmas Tasting. A reddish brown ale with a beige head. Woodsy, malty, sweet. The taste is sweet, maple & some metallic notes. Honestly, I didn’t pick up on the metallic quality so much but this was beer 8 or 9 I think at the tasting so we probably didn’t give it such a fair shake-the low end of the pack though pretty good. Too young I think, it was bottled in November! I might try it again if I find a year old bottle.
