33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Black colour, almost no head. Aroma of peated whisky, roasted malts, liquorice. Flavour is medium sweet, roasted malts, peated whisky, light bubblegum or strawberries, a bit of ash, bitter roasted and light hoppy finish. Medium-bodied at best, soft carbonation, if any. Not much different from the Laphroaig version imho, although I think less peated and less hoppy.

Bottle shared. Pours very dark brown with a ring tan head. Aroma of massive pleated whiskey, light chocolate, some dark fruit, light roasted malt and light hops. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Didn’t expect the whiskey/peaty barrel aged elements which were upfront, but still good.
