Keg at SBWF (6.6%) dark brown, rich head. Aroma of coffee and molasses. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramel, coffee and notes of ash, Mid bitter finish.

Mild bitter schokoladiger Antrunk. Geringe aber steigende Herbe, deutlich bitter im Mittelteil. Süffig, leichter Hopfen, die Schokoladigkeit bleibt konstant. Gut. 7/9/10/10/8/10

(Keg at Rotterdam, Helsinki, 20151031) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had chocolate, fruitiness and coffee. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were chocolate, burnt malts, yeast, ash and bitterness. Afteraste was ashy and bitter. A tasty but too burnt brew.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Gall&Gall Utrecht. Black/very dark brown with a thin beige head. Roasted malts aroma with some coffee. Taste is bitter but with some sweetness. Round body and a rather short but nicely bitter finish. Good one.

On tap at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam on 20th March 2015. Clear deep brown with pale tan lasting foam giving partial lacing. Spicy, malty roastiness in aroma with Christmas pudding touch. Spicy malty liquid with berry fruits and nutty chocolate. Roasty finish with chocolate touch and nuttiness. Fair bodied with zingy mouthfeel.

(Draught at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam, 27 Feb 2015) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, chocolate and black rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, dark bread and a balanced coffee bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty, balanced and well made stout. Nice one.
