Tight white head stayed on an unclear rich golden body. Yeast, confectionery, pepper & citrus aroma. Medium bodied, tingly over the tongue with a soft back & sharp clean aft. Incredibly fruity tastes of peach, citrus, hops & spice followed by a lovely tangy finish

30 April 2019. At Dirk's First Home-made Beer Tasting. Cheers to all! Pours clear golden with a lasting, small, frothy, white head. Aroma of ripe banana, apricot, ginger, apple peel, clove, juniper, white bread, canned pineapple. Taste is medium fruity sweet, lots of ripe pineapple & banana, some apricot & apple, supported by honeyish & bready malts, spicy bitter edges of clove & pepper, vaguely sourish, ending dryish, grassy hoppy, a bit phenolic with some warming, but acceptable, jenever-like alcohol. Medium body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Not the most assertive of Trappist Ales but certainly well-made and enjoyable. Original rating: 7 May 2018. 8/4/8/4/15=3.9.

11.2 ounce bottle, best before August 17th, 2018.

Pours a fairly clear gold, initially large head of foam, shrinking slowly, not much lacing.

Smells spicy, hoppy, notes of coriander, pepper, light grass, picking up some fruit, sweet malt

Spicy taste up front, from the hops and yeast. Coriander and very much the pepper. Malt is semi sweet, earthy, adding much delicious flavour. A spicier Tripel than say, the Chimay but equally acceptable and enjoyable.

0,33 l bottle. Pours golden yellow with a finger of quickly dissipating white head until only a veil remains. Aroma of bread, yeast, light honey, some citrus and herbal hop aroma. Taste is medium sweet, light to medium bitter. Body is full, texture creamy and carbonation lively. Finish is long, initial sweetness is slowly overrun by earthy, herbal, spicy bitterness.
