20-03-21 // RB-tasting. Taster. Heavy sweetness. Fruit sugars. An intense bitterness, light boozy burn. Slightly caramelized. Not super fresh hops.

Bottle, 10%. Fairly citric aroma, slightly funky. Hazy light copper colour. Small tight white head. The flavour is citric, slightly funky, has a hint of bubble gum, mild vanilla note. Extremely well-balanced for a 10% beer.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with rocky off-white head. Clear aroma of fruit, malt caramel and yeast, with mild touches of flowers. Bitter, hoppy flavour with acidic notes and touches of flowers and caramel malt and yeast. Acidic and estery aftertaste with bitter notes. Warming alcohol presence. Well, not bad, just not a fine and well-balanced one of the top notch within the style.

Flesje gedronken bij H en B. Goudgeel, licht troebel bier met mooie stevige witte schuimkraag. Aroma van banaan en citrus fruit met een hint van hop. Smaak is bitterzoet en fruitig. Smaak ebt snel weg.

Can picked up from Beerdome Webshop, Grootegaste, Netherlands and consumed at home Thursday 29th October 2020 listening to Tom Ravenscroft on 6Music after a Burger at Hotel Gasthof Ostermeier in Gütlsdorf (next village). Pours hazy orange gold with a white head. Thick in the mouth, sweet, oily, syrupy mouthfeel, a little overripe fruit, probably citrussy, but all told I am disappointed by this, it offers little other than a big abv and shed loads of sweetness.

Can. Moderately hazy fiery orange, medium small white head, not too lasting. Sweet fruity nose, citrusy with lots of resin. Quite sweet start, lots of honey, very strong. Milder bitterness. A bit of warming alcohol. Medium aftertaste. Way too sweet, cloying.

330ml can. Cloudy, orangey, golden colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Yeasty fruity and slightly citrusy, fruity hoppy aroma, notes of overripe yellow stone fruit, peach, apricot, nectarine, mirabelle, some orange, mandarine and lemon. Taste is sweet, citrusy fruity hoppy and yeasty fruity, sugary malty basis, notes of peach, apricot, nectarine, mirabelle. mandarine, orange, some biting hop bitterness; alcoholic finish. Oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying as well as bitter hoppy biting palate, soft carbonation. Well, not easy to summarize: Definitely too sweet and sugary, but pretty intense on the fruity side as well, nice combination of hoppy and yeasty fruit flavours, hop bitterness compensates for the bigger part of the sweetness, not completely but rather well hidden alcohol - a lucky bag as so many Belgian beers, appropriate to scatter ratings across the whole scale. I vote for the fruitiness this time and neglect soem shortcomings.
