Head reduced to whitish rim over redbrown, opaque beer. Roasted malts, chocolate malt, bit ashy but sweet. Dry-ish, ashy-ish and sweet-ish (mostly in the background). Roasted malts, again with an ashy streak. In the finish, there's a good dash of stout acidity. As with many's the Gansjes' beers, its Achilles heel is the body and MF - too thinnish, too watery. Medium carbonation. Nowhere bad, but there is ample margin for improvement.
