Who is afraid of darkness? Dark beer made with several roasted barley from England and Germany, cocoa nibs, lactose and just a bit of hops. A Milk Chocolate Stout as soft as velvet, that recalls powdered cocoa and barley coffee. Don’t be scared by its colour.

Bottle thx to benzai. Not pitch black, some redness shining through, no head. Smells roasty, dark chocolate, raisins, smokey. Tastes some coffee, roasty malts, some dark chocolate. Not really extreme. Great carbo, but could use a bit more body. Still nice though.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Gent, Belgium 26th May 2012 consumed sat outside Frank (camper) Salzburg, Austria Friday 1st June 2012 Brewfist Fear Milk Chocolate Stout. Dark, dark brown with a tan head. Really smooth, quite milky and chocolatey in mouth with a slight bitterness at the end. Soft in the mouth, almost like a cold bubbly ’not so hot chocolate’ it’s a ’one trick pony, but who cares when its a great trick’. I really like this, the chocolate is just great. Draught Huge brown-beige head over black beer. Bitter chocolate & black coffee, very roasted nose, but with a sweet, molasses-like streak. Malt ’chocolate’ drink. Bitterish, but mainly sweet, oats-like flaovur, again like the maltdrinks imitating cacaomilk, made from malts or oats. Medium bodied, quite slick, just the finish is thinnier. Not bad, but indeed a tad sweet.

Medium beige head. Opaque black body. Mealy earthy chocolate aroma with coffee and mint notes. Sweet-dryish earthy burnt chocolatey taste with grainy mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dry burnt grainy chocolate aftertaste with mealy coffee notes. Nice, drinkable, vivid. I quite liked this. (0.33l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

Cremige, malzig-getreidige Noten zu Beginn. Angenehme Herbe, würzig, süßlich. Schokolade, etwas Vanille, geringe Bitterkeit. Ausgewogen, zum Ende etwas bitterer, die Schokoladennoten gefallen weiterhin, weich. 9/9/10/10/10/10

Pours black with a small, rapidly dissipating head.Nose shows milk chocolate, roasted malt and corn-like notes. Tempting, apart from the corn...Similar milk chocolate and roasted malts as flavours, but very sweet. Needs more roasted malt and a stronger finish. End weakly.Body seems watery and the carbonation is too high.
