Who is afraid of darkness? Dark beer made with several roasted barley from England and Germany, cocoa nibs, lactose and just a bit of hops. A Milk Chocolate Stout as soft as velvet, that recalls powdered cocoa and barley coffee. Don’t be scared by its colour.

Sample at the molen monthly tasting. Thin tan head. Clear deep amber pour. Chocolate in the aroma. A bit thin for a stout but still nice.

Bottled 330ml. -at La Cerveteca Barcelona. Dark brown/almost black coloured, small cappuccino white head, mild coffee/chocolate nose. Light roasted malt, coffee and chocolate taste with notes of chicory and subdued caramel. Pretty high carbonation for a stout but all in all pleasant one.

Pours a dark hazy brown colour with little or no head. Quite a rich taste with a little sweetness and a little bitterness.

Bottle at home from Beer Ritz, Leeds. Dark brown pour with a meek tan head. Roasty nose with notes of chocolate and vanilla. Similar sweetish flavour with a hint of ash. Smooth and easy drinking. Enjoyable stuff.

23/07/2013 Ma che siete venuti a fà (handpump). Nera, densa, quasi impenetrabile, schiuma biancastra abbondante e persistente. Andrebbe rifinita.

Dark brown color with tan head. A little bit metallic aroma with sweet chocolate and some roasted malt. Taste dominated by chocolate with some liquorice and coffee. Starts sweet with a little bit of a bitter finish. Alright, but nothing special.

Good effort, but this beer is a bit too sweet for my taste. It has too much resemblance to chocolate milk.
