Cask at The Cavendish Arms, Dumfries. It pours clear copper with a decent white. The nose is fresh, soft, sweet, juicy, grassy and lemon parfait. The taste is crisp, rather bitter, grassy, spicy, pine needles, lemon peel with a lingering grassy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Fresh, great condition and good bitterness. Nice Juan.

Bottle from Booths, Media City. Golden-amber with a thin head. Hopped with a light fruitiness with its malts in the backgrounds. Good nose.

Bottle, 0.50l. Clear mahogany color with medium creamy white head, good lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of fruity and herbal hops, biscuit malt and caramel. Taste starts with moderate sweet toasted malt and caramel, fresh fruity following, crisp mouthfeel and pleasant bitter finish. Medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. Very aromatic bitter...

Bottle at the White Lady, but something I have drunk many times before. Pours clear gold, thin white head. Aromas of butterscotch and biscuits. taste and mouthfeel is buttery too. A waste of good ingredients to my mind.

500ml Bottle: shared with a mate on 15 Feb 2013 during a random beer tasting evening. Nice looking brew: bright copper body with a full if not deep biege head on top. Malts rule the flavours both aromaticly and taste wise. This is almost a smooth, gentle beer: however the hop undertones prevent it becoming too sweet and malty. I’m sweet toothed and prefer maltier brews, this sat nicely within that ’pigeon-hole’. The hops play there part but if you’re a Hop head this isn’t for you unless you fancy something diferent for a change.

Clear deep amber beer, no real head. Crisp palate. Toffee malt with a good balance of grapefruit hops. The malt turns creamy before the finish which is fairly bitter. Not bad.

50cl bottle, thanks to Bret. Pours amber with steady bubbles and a gentle head. The nose has toffee but more particularly biscuits. The taste is more of the same biscuit, even going into ginger nut biscuits. The palate is medium-bodied with a tangy medium weighted texture in the mid-section and the finish is fresh. Maybe it’s just because I’m extremely thirsty but I think they’ve nailed the bitter style definitely.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with some weak hoppy hints. Fruity malty slighty sweetish caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty caramel finish with some hoppy hints.
