L’ambassadrice ! En 2003, nous n’étions encore qu’une jeune brasserie régionale. L’idée de mettre en balance les nombreux esters que produit notre levure, dans nos cuves de fermentation ouvertes, avec l’Amarillo, nouvelle variété de houblon à l’époque, fit de la Triple notre première ambassadrice à l’étranger. Elle est aujourd’hui considérée comme une Triple de référence.

Bottle: Golden, hazy & floaties visible, firm lacy off-white head; moderate to solid sweet fruity-zesty nose (oranges, orange-peel); almost slightly dry bitter-sweet flavour, quite soft and medium bodied; a slight tartness shows up in the sweet-zesty finish. Solid quality....

Au fût @ Delirium Dorée, blanche. Arôme en général qui garde une note de levure belge, fruité allant vers des notes esters, cette levure donne une impression de cave. Au palais, levure belge, note houblon fleuri, aspect ester/fruité qui termine sur une fine amertume. Une bonne triple qui garde aussi ce côté blé et grains tout en mélangeant amertume et douceur.

Hazy amber beer. Good white head but dies quickly. Aromatically sweet start and with a soft palate. Smooth malt with a subtle undertone of brandyish alcohol. Crisp semi dry finish.

(Bottle, 0.75 l, BBE March 12) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, hops, hint of honey and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied and warming with quite high carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, hops, hint of honey, sweetness, Belgian style yeast, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was yeasty, fruity and bitter. For a tripel this was pleasantly dry and also hops were quite clearly present but they weren’t overdone.

75cl bottle. Poured hazy, orange looking color with a frothy, nice lacing white head. Aroma is orange peel, yeast and some spices. Flavor is fruity malty, with some yeast and spices (at least coriander). Nice alcohol warming. Finish is quite dry and spicy. Excellent tripel, one of the best I have tried.

A bit hazy yellow-orange color, small white head. Fruity Belgian yeasty nose with leather, hops, countryside and peach. Medium-bodied. Very Saison-like flavor: fresh grassy hoppyness, spices, fruity yeastyness in the background. Lingering bitterness with a punch of alcohol in the aftertaste. This is quite refreshing, although strong Summer drink. And IMHO Saison, not a triple.

Beautiful, light orange beer with big and white head. Aroma is stunning, aromatic and fruitfull, spicyness, fructose, tropical fruits and hops. Flavour is fruitfull and quite sweet with quite high bitterness that balancing and dries the aftertaste. Also fruits, spicyness, some pine needles and hint of orange can be found from flavour. Medium palate with medium carbonation, easy and pleasant to drink. Trippel where everything is unbelievable greatly balanced; even the big bottle is empty for too quickly.

Very good strong dark beer, nice barley and malt notes, decent appearance. Could have more body, but maybe that’s just me again. Worth a try for sure.
