33cl bottle. Pale golden colour with a nice white head with a good formation and nice lacing. Aroma is yeasty, sweet and slightly fruity. Flavour is sweet, with yeast notes and slightly bittery, good balance. The final is moderate alcoholic and dense on palate. Carbonation is medium to high. Body is high.

Peach and pear nose with the latter slightly more prominent. Hazy amber, thick head, nice lacing. Full bodied, alcohol evident and not overly strong but has a fusel quality. Flavor is the same as the aroma, but maltier and grassy hay notes. Lemon zest also present. Parsley finish.

Bottle, 33cl. A clear, golden one, topped by a big, foamy, off-white head. Pale malts, caramel, Belgo-style fruityness, and a touch of yeast. Some alcohol. The flavor has sugary maltyness, white sugar, caramel, fruityness and a little alcohol and yeast. Full-bodied, a bit heavily carbonated. Some bitterness towards the end, but not enough. Well, it’s drinkable and all that, but it doesn’t impress in any way. 111001

Bottle @ home. Slightly hazy yellow / copper color. Nice smell and taste, little sweet, fruits and bitter. A bit too low carbonated for a 9%ABV beer I think. Still a very decent beer though.

Cloudy gold beer. Thin white head. Dry slightly astringent palate. Sweetish aromatic malt. Sourish fruit with dry spice. Frothy in the mouth. Not well joined up! Too dry, sour and spicy with no redeeming or balancing features.

33cl Bottle at Café de Spuyt. Hazy golden orange colour, creamy white head. Aroma of ripe fruits like melon and pineapple, alcohol esters, some citrus. Flavour is light sweet, malty, dry, fruity, very light fruity sourness, light spicy, firm dry citrus bitter finish. Medium to fullbodied, dry mouthfeel. Good tripel.

Pours into a chalice with gigantic head, nice foggy orange-gold colour and plenty of carbonation. Aroma of dirty socks and smelly blankets. Excellent fruity taste, plenty of hops and coriander, slightly alcoholic finish but not overbearing. Very well balanced a good example of the style.
