Courtesy of Blazer06. Pours murky light brown with thin yet creamy off white head. The aroma is sweet honey and some spices, some yeastiness and then more honey sweetness. The taste is smooth yet somewhat bold with semi sharp spices and a yeast spice note being smoothed out with the help of a thick layer of honey sweetness and some malty sweetness.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber-gold with a mild, foamy white head. Heavy malt and sugar aroma. Flavor is rich andsweet, with light bread and smokey caramel and toffee. Medium in body with fine, fizzy carbonation. Hints of scotch. Finishes sweet and malty with some lingering warmth. Not bad, though perhaps not your typical Tripel.

01/08/2010 - 33cl bottle @ De Heeren van Liedekercke

Pours a cloudy amber orange beer. Very large creamy white head. Smell of hop, honey and unripe fruits. Mouthfeeling is a little flat, body is full though. Alcohol sweetness at first, vollowed by fruitiness and honey with a sour twist. Aftertaste is bitter with honey and a little spices.

Straw colored, slightly cloudy, with a very big head that settles quickly to leave moderate lacing. Aroma of fresh hops, some licorice and citrus. Flavor has nice hops throughout, but not over the top - well balanced with malt. Good tripel.

Bottled 330ml. -Orange/golden coloured, medium to big white head that went away slowly, spices and alcohol in the nose. Sweet malty, fruity and very spicy with notes of yeast and coriander. Alcohol is not so pronounced as to be expected from beer with 9%ABV.

Bottle. Amber beer with a nice off-white head. Musty malt aroma with yeast and a bit of breadiness. Bready/yeasty flavor with spice. Medium-plus bodied. Spice, yeast, and breadiness lingers. Finishes dry. I can see people going either way on this - I’d like a bit more esters/fruitiness, but that’s just me.

75oml bottle, uncorked. Thick golden-orange color, with a patchy foamy head. Sweet and rich, with a pleasant edge to it. Certainly a lot more hop character than your typical Belgian Tripel, which works quite well in this case. Sweet yeasty aroma laced with alcohol. This is definitely a slow sipper, between the alcohol, sweetness, and bitterness, there is a lot to take in. Not unlike a Tripel version of Orval in some respects. This is a classic, would love to have it on tap.

(33cl bottle) Hazy, orange to golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Sweet, slightly grainy and bready malty aroma with subtle fruity and slightly hoppy notes. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Bready and slightly grainy malt-character with light notes of citrus and shades of hops towards the slightly bitter and spicy finish. Not bad but rather boring for a Triple (25.V.09).
