Bottle split at Moeder Lambic St Giles, 20/11/15. Black with a decent tan covering that retains well. Nose is sweet malt, dark fruit rinds, light smoke, toffee fudge. Taste comprises soured dark berry fruit, lactic tinge, spice, brown bread, yeast, treacle. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok for style.

Marrón oscura, casi opaca. Espuma beige densa, que desaparece rápido-. Aroma complejo, malteado, licórico, chocolate, humo. Sabor malteado, predominio dulce, chocolate bien presente. Tono licórico, sobre todo al final. Cuerpo notable. Potente. Postgusto alcohólico.

Appearance is mahogany, with a 2-3 finger light brown thick head. Aroma- lots of it- malty bread, Belgian yeast, cherry skin, plum, raisin, fruitcake, cherry cake. Taste- cherry, raisin, brown sugar, a bit of fluffy banana in the background, yeasty, fruit and nut chocolate, some brown malty bread, malt loaf. Fluffy and full mouthfeel. Good stuff.

Bottle at Doerak. Dark brown with big off white head. Sweet malts, cocoa, soft coffee notes, light herbs and some marzipan. Quite sweet with light herbal bitter finish. Sweet without too much character, but not bad.
