Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque dark bron with a faint tint of orange and a lacing, beige head. Rather distinct cherry aroma paired with some perfumy coriander. Medium body, dry and almost licoricy (Gajol) with a surprisingly bitter finish. If this was ever a Dubbel it is no more, the odd flavorings have totally obscured the base beer, and I cannot say I particularly like it. The aroma perhaps. 310124

Bottle. Deep brown with a dense 1/2cm cap of beige head. Aroma is pleasantly if crudely spicy with cherries and bread. 6+ Better integrated elements in the taste, which is sweet with brioche, spices, cooked cherries, hints of roasted malt, slight bitterness. Fair enough.

Draught. Rubyish copper colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is plum, some dark berries and mild yeasty tones. Flavour is spicy, some ripe berries, plum, alcohol and some mild toffeeish tones too.

Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a murky deep mahogany colour with a one finger creamy beige head. Aromas of cherries, plums and red berries on the nose. Taste is again fruity with more cherries, plums, red and black berries, a hint of dry dark fruits and a little tartness on the finish. Thinnish body, fairly low carbonation and slightly tangy mouthfeel. A bit thin bodied but fruity and very christmasy i would say. Decent Christmas Beer.

Bottle. Pours hazy copper brown with big, airy but stable light beige head. Clear aroma of berries, with touches of yeast and caramel. Bitter and dry flavour of yeast and berries, with fruity touches and notes of hops and malt. Lingering vinous aftertaste with estery notes and touches of caramel malt. Decent but rather different from my idea of a Dubbel.
