Tap at Mikkeller Tokyo. Roasted malt, dark cacao, chocolate milk and cookies on the nose. Roasty and creamy on the palate. Average carbonation with a creamy mouthfeel. Good bitter, roasty finish with some sweetness. Tasty.

Tasted from the tap on the 25/03/2016. Black colour and creamy beige head. Aroma of ash, burnt malts, lactose and chocolate. Flavour is quite sweet and firmly bitter at the same time with roasted malts. Milky sweetness and bitter finish. Next one please!

Bottle. Black body with a thick tan head. Excellent lacing. Aroma of ash, charcoal and black pepper. Flavour of chocolate milkshake and salted dark chocolate. Medium body with a smooth, foamy mouthfeel. Light fizz. Nice beer, but the burnt, ashy notes are unusual for a Sweet Stout

On tap at Craft Room, Zagreb. Poured a pitch black body with a greyish-brownish head, medium, thick, that went away slowly. Aroma... roasty, chocolate, weak notes of sweet orange. Taste... whoa... yeah, more of the same, chocolate mixing it up with sweetiesh notes of orange, basically like liquid jaffa cakes, only with that typical lactose body, heavy rounded sweetness. The roastiness that turns into buitterness builds up and lasts into the aftertaste. Almost perfect in many ways, it actually becomes a chore to drink. Yeah, everything about it is great, but it becomes slightly tiring or cloying at a point, which is a shame. Still - a damn good stout, well worth trying. And who knows, you might like it even more than I did.

330 ml bottle into pint glass, bottled on 10/3/2015. Pours nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a 2 finger dense and rocky tan head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings down the glass. Amazing appearance! Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, toasted dark bread, light smoke char, herbal, light pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, lactose, and moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, toasted dark bread, light smoke char, herbal, light pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Medium roast/char and herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, toasted dark bread, smoke, char, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, lactose, and moderate earthy hop flavors; with a nice roasted bitter/sweet and spicy hop balance with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from roast/hop bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky, and moderately sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding milk stout. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, lactose, and moderate earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A bit on the dry side for the style; but it is still very rich and robust for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.
