We fell in love with American Amber Ale whilst on a road trip in Colorado. Using just enough Cascade and Palisade for an exciting flavour and aroma, it's a balanced beer with warm complex malt. EBC: 30.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours clear amber, thin white head. Aromas of toffee and red fruits. Taste is more of the same, on the sweeter side of things. Not bad.

Clear red beer with a thin bubbly head which quickly dissipates. Aroma is malt with a touch of hop some fruit. Flavour is a mi of malt and caramel and followed with a toasty, hoppy, but slightly watery, finish. Tasty but nothing spectacular.

On tap at the brewery. A hoppy very bitter amber. I would guess at some German malt in this as it reminds me on the aroma of some beers from Franconia. Touch of very light roast. Ok. Interesting. Bitter.

Keg at the brewery. Copper amber coloured pour with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, rye bread, German grains. Light sulphur. Flavour is sweet grains, light mineral, cara malt and light rye spice. Some earthy hop maybe? Palate is sweet and then thin with a mineral finish. Not in love with this.
