It’s a blond beer, but a special one. Has a special combination of spices that give the beer a fresh fruity taste. Good.

750 ml bottle into chalice, best before June 2015. Pours moderately hazy golden amber color with a 1 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings around the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, peach, apricot, clove, pepper, herbal, grass, floral, light honey, bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, peach, bread, light honey, clove, pepper, herbal, grass, floral, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, peach, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, floral, clove, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance, robustness, and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and malt flavors; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present on the finish. Overall this is a very nice Belgian blonde ale. All around good balance and complexity of malt and fruity/spicy yeast flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle at Deanso’s Den Haag April RB tasting. Poured a clear yellow straw colour with a frothy white head and some lace. The aroma is weak malt. The flavour is medium bitter, a little yeasty, some malt. A typical blonde. Ok, but I’m surprised at the high rating.

25 cl. van ’t vat bij Delirium Tap House. Heel licht, lichte afwasmiddel gouden, lichte citroen toets, witte kraag. Ruikt naar zachte wazige citroen, lichte hop, afwasmiddel, artificiële citroen toetsen, hooi. Smaak is zoete, lichtjes artificiële citroen, afwasmiddel toets, graan, hooi, floraal toetsen, hooi, lichte kruiden. Lichter, toets minder gas. Stel mij een beetje de vraag bij de conditie van dit, soms bij Delirium,… licht te drinken, okay.
