In the early days this was the last beer to be brewed before the warm summer season. It had an increased alcohol percentage so it would last longer. Regularly looking pint, white head. Thin aroma and taste, some more malts and sweetness than a pilsner. Fresh mouthfeel, light bodied, medium carbonation

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass golden, almost no head. Starts very mild, much too mild for a bock. A bit spicy-sweet, more and more moldy with a soapy touch. Finish again too mild. Nothing special.

Clear orange beer, creamy small off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: little bit of malts, some hops, chemical touch, like paint or something. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: some malts, little sweet, fruity hops, candy. Aftertaste: sweet, citrus fruits and a very soft bitter ending. Muchos better than the Grolsch version, so I probably overrated it. But hey, they did a way better job than Grolsch, so I'll let them have it. Even if it's InBev.

Colour amber gold, not too big white head. Aroma quite sweet, caramel, some malts. Flavour sweet, caramel, quite thin and bit cloying. Sweetish, slightly bitter and ’unclean’ aftertaste. Not the greatest brew of this brand. (draught @ a bar in Nijmegen)

Bottle from Albert Heijn. Clear gold beer, residual white head. Crispish semi dry palate. Strong malt and a little fruit. Dry finish. Another Lente Bock that tastes like watered down Carlsberg Special Brew!

(Draught at Café Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 2 Aug 2010) Deep golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of apricots, citrus, sweet malt and canned fruit. Malty, fruity taste with apricots, orange, canned fruit and a slightly spicy bitterness in the finish. Slightly more than medium body, generous malt sweetness. Quite nice and tasty.
