660cl Brown bottle best before 20 Jan 08, drank with AWolfAtTheDoor on 03 Jan 08. Poured into a pint sleeve glass, it was a good amber colour and clear with a small white head. The aroma was of hops and caramel, the beer was fairly cold though and as it warmed liquorice smell came, which is unusual for an English Pale Ale (well it is for me). The aftertaste is where this beer let itself down, dry and metalic. It almost ruined the whole experience. This is anothe 50-50 beer from Wychwood. I am not going to rush out and buy a crate of this, but if someone offered me a pint in a pub, I’d except it.

Clear foxy-amber, well-carbonated to light cream-coloured head. Caramel, biscuit, creamtoffee and some fruity yeastnotes. Dry caramel, finish a tad grassy, with again some fruity notes. Light body, but quite slick & sticky, despite the not too lazy carbonation. For a brewery that highly claims having so much taste, this is bl**din dull!

Flaske - fortært på rom 402 / City Continental London Kensington Hotel 17 Mai 11. Gyldengul med et lavt skum. Litt uklar. God fruktig aroma. Plommer. Smaken innholdsrik: Nøtter & frukt. Svakt syrlig bitter ettersmak. Mye smak for styrken.

Bottle: Poured a light amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of light dry caramel malt is somewhat bland. Taste is also dominated by light dry caramel notes without many other characteristics. Body is about average with good carbonation. Bland offering with very little floral notes or hops that are noticeable.

Comes in a brown bottle at the LCBO and written on front label... "The beer to slay a mighty thirst". Alright sailor... let’s do this ! Pours a slightly hazy amber colour with a big creamy off-white head that has great retention and thick lacing. Just a few tiny bubbles for carbonation. Not much smell at first, but then, lots of hay and biscuit malt appears, with notes of fruits. Very smooth and silky mouthfeel, with hardly any carbonation. Feels like an English cask brew. Watery taste with hints of caramel, hops, grain and fruits. Not a bad session beer at 4.2% ABV... kind of slaying away at my thirst.

Bottle from a Offie in Tonbridge, Kent. Amber pour with a white head. Pineapple and exotic fruit nose. Light fruit flavours with a little citrus. Quite refreshing.

Bottled from Cambridge Wine Merchants, Cambridge. Copper color with medium white head. Aroma of malt, grain, fruit. Taste, very fruity with bittersweet finish. Drinkable beer.

Bottle: Clear, copper coloured, mid-sized stable off-white head with a little lace; fruity-caramelly nose with a delicate touch of vegetables; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; slightly increasing dry bitterness in the short fruity (lemony) - caramelly finish, followed by a faint metallic tinge in the aftertaste. Not so good.....

500ml bottle. Pours dark orange with a small head. Aroma is skunky orange hops with a little bit of sulphur. Tiny bit of bread to start. Some orange and a little bit of skunk in the finish.
