Bottle. Pours clear light golden, with a creamy head. Aroma is sour, with notes of hay, light wood and citrus peel, as well as berries and bretty funk. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is acidic, with lemon peel, sour grapes and notes of wood, white currants and rhubarb, as well as some sweet berry notes and nice bretty funk. Lingering tart, but balanced finish.

Bottle shared at THT. Hazy orange blond with a white head. Aroma is funky, some decent horse blanket and lots of citrus. Flavour is light moderate sour. Light to medium bodied with light carbonation. Nothing fantastic but a legit gueze.

Bottle shared thanks to Mrk. Slight hazy golden with short lasting white head that leaves no lacing. Hay, quite herbal, nice farmyard notes, slight rubber, sour grapes and grains. A bit of lemon and white pepper. Light sour and bitter. Under medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Quite unique and decent gueuze.

As Chapeau Cuvee, bottling date 4/9/2010, tasted 26/01/2016. Cork comes out on its own. Aroma is slight cork, barnyard funk, kiwi skin, sour dough. Taste is citrusy, funky. Mouthful of carbonation. Good stuff, has some old feeling already. At Nacht van de Grote Dorst, as De Troch Oude Gueuze. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is citric, lacto, fresh. Sour lacto taste, off in a way, definitely brighter and more lemony than most Gueuzes. High carbonation. Not nearly as good as the aged bottle we’ve had. 6/3/6/3/13.
