A sweet malty beer with lots of toffee & caramel notes from the pale and crystal malts. Fresh dry hop taste comes from the challenger and goldings which also give a satisfying easy drinking bitter finish.

karmelowo słodowy zapach z lekkimi nutami palonymi i tytoniowymi, wyczuwalna lekka śmietana. kolor bursztynowy, wpadający w miedziany, przejrzyste, genialna piana. w smaku dość wodniste, czuć karmel, biszkopty, lekką ziołową goryczkę oraz tytoniowe i lekko żelaziste nuty z chmielu. aksamitne i zupełnie odgazowane.

From keg. Clear amber. Thick, dense and persistent off-white head and lacing. Aroma of crystal malt and cereals. Similar taste balanced with moderate bitterness. Biscuity. OK, but nothing special.

On tap at Caledonia Scottish Pub, Budapest. Pours amber with nice looking creamy white head. Light bodied. Bit sweetish. Expected more but was disappointed. Bland and watery.

Draught, Curry House, Dunbar. Caramel and vague hop in the nose. Bread and toffee in the flavour with a hint of metal. Smooth, watery and bland. Not much in the finish. Won’t win any taste awards, but there are worse beers, (just about) and to help a curry down it’ll do.

Clear caramel brown with thick white head. Slight toffee aroma. Smooth creamy palate. Flavour has slight toffee sweetness, a balancing rather nondescript tartness, and no noticeable bitterness. Drinkable.

Rating from 2008: Toller, supercremiger Schaum. Der Antrunk ist vollmundig, süßlich und sehr süffig. Der Hauptteil ist cremig, leicht malzig, aber etwas laff. Der Nachgeschmack ist lang, leicht herb und schön cremig, angenehm-süßlich!

Keg tap at the Castle Tavern, Inverness, 18/10/13. Ok - just the one shit tick for the day having exhausted the cask winners ... Clear golden with a good sized off white head. Nose is pale malts, sugars, light caramel, hint of fruit. Taste comprises light malts, grassy, fruit notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, smooth on the palate, grassy bitter notes in the finish. Mediocre affair but as keg stuff goes not that bad tbh - it certainly beat a few of the cask/bottle conditioned offerings I had across this weekend!

Has a very weak grain aroma. Looks a perfect copper body with a modest cream ale head. Flavour is not intrusive but not complex. Soft, watery finish. It’s an okay session beer but lacking complexity.
