A sweet malty beer with lots of toffee & caramel notes from the pale and crystal malts. Fresh dry hop taste comes from the challenger and goldings which also give a satisfying easy drinking bitter finish.

Keg at the Premier Inn, Aberdeen. Yep. Clear gold with an extremely tight, creamy head. Some wimpy malts throughout, mild leafy bitterness, light sugar. Light bodied with creamy carbonation. Lightly sweet finish, some wet bread, faint leaves. Bland and not especially pleasant.

44cl can with widget, 3.5%, 1.50β¬. Clear light amber beer with a super compact small creamy off-white head (lasting til the end) and nitrogen cascade. Nothing on the nose. Nearly tasteless: light taste of toffee and roasted malts with an imperceptible bitterness. Just a bit of metallic sourness probably because of can. Light body, soft to flat carbonation. Veeeeery easy to drink and ultra smooth, sessionable, almost soft drink, could have lots of this.

This ale poured a clear, deep amber colour with a creamy, off white head. To the nose there is scents of malts, cream, brown sugar and a little dough. First sip was slightly watery with a smooth creamy mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Malty with a little smoke and a sweet finish. Palate is slightly bitter with a light hopp finish.

Nitro-widget can from the LCBO with a 4.8% ABV written on it. Creates a great creamy off-white head that stays a long time. Clean amber-copper colour with hardly any carbonation showing. Sweet grain scent with a touch of fruits. Thick lacing coats the glass and the mouthfeel is creamy, slightly oily with not much stickiness. The taste is pretty mild with caramel malt, fruits, hop and even milder notes burnt malt and smoke. I am thankful they did a stronger ABV for us Canadian, as I cannot imagine how mild this should be in Scotland. A pretty nice alternative to the Kilkenny, that is creamy and goes down easy.

Keg @ Claymore, Grantown-On-Spey......Thick, creamy white head, golden, clear.....not much aroma, bit of cereal malt....Taste of malt wheat cereal, bit of hop bitterness, rather watery and very boring......Palate is bitter and rather dull..average to high carbonation.....Overall - Not undrinkable, not unpleasent, nothing bad about it, but lacking in taste, very boring and watery ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Keg at Ryries. Pours amber with a small head that stays. The nose is creamy, toasty and caramelly.The taste has malt at the beginning, then a thin watery note followed by more creaminess. The palate is light to medium in structure and texture and has a refreshing finish, so overall, very drinkable.
