Tripel LeFort is a golden blonde beer of 8.8% ABV and sets itself apart through its crisp, fruity aroma and beautifully rounded full flavour. The top-fermenting yeast used for Tripel LeFort results in a beer with vanilla-clove aromas as well as a fruity taste of bananas and red apples. Pleasant hints of citrus, lime and roses make this into a balanced beer that is intriguingly complex at the same time.
A beer with body… the full flavour combined with the alcohol give you a warm feeling that slowly eases away.

330mL bottle, pours a clear copper with a large white head. Nose is authentic, with a wonderfully fragrant, floral Belgian yeast character, a touch of cotton candy, and a touch of citrus. Flavour is no less fragrant, with a bright, spicy Belgian yeast character, floral notes, a hint of cotton candy, and an assertive champagne-like carbonation to round it off. Spicy, barely residually sweet, and bright. Excellent authentic Belgian tripel.

Bottle from Leclerc, Nice, France
Hazy blond colour, short head retention. Mild esters in the aroma, spices. The spicy Belgian yeast is more evident in the flavour; it's on the mellow side (I may prefer drier Tripels); strong esters, quite strong alcohol; there's some kind of minor acidity that is not proper to the style.
Good.

Bottled (from De Biertonne). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some toffeeish and mild citrusy and yeasty tones. Flavour is following pretty much the same pattern. Actually a rather nice old school Tripel compared to a lot of the more modern take on the style, which is just thin and overly fruity/citrusy.
