Tripel LeFort is a golden blonde beer of 8.8% ABV and sets itself apart through its crisp, fruity aroma and beautifully rounded full flavour. The top-fermenting yeast used for Tripel LeFort results in a beer with vanilla-clove aromas as well as a fruity taste of bananas and red apples. Pleasant hints of citrus, lime and roses make this into a balanced beer that is intriguingly complex at the same time.

A beer with body… the full flavour combined with the alcohol give you a warm feeling that slowly eases away.

Bottle at home. Almost cleat yellow color, full sized white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, sweetish floral, blossomy. Don't get much more. Hmm okay beer. Nothing too special but alright.

Nice and fine triple. Hazed golden in the glass and a big white head. Fine intensity in the aroma. Balanced sweetness and a mild acidity in the back. Wheat, fruity, mild banana, some spices and some yeast in the flavor. [Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Rygge, Norway]

From a 330ml bottle on 8/9/2024. Pours a slightly opaque golden with a medium head. Has a light aroma of banana and Belgian yeast. The flavour features orange, lemon, caramel and light spice, with that typical Begian character. The palate is lightly syrupy, the carbonation moderate. Perfectly drinkable but just doesn't quite come together for me.

Draft at Huppel the Pub, Den Haag. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is light toffee, light alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter, with a fresh, malt, earthy, light toffee, light warm boozy alcohol bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

La he disfrutado.

New tripel version of LeFort - unexpected, since I understood that the brewery avoided using the brand name of Omer, their other recent success beer, for the brown version because they wanted to stress the historical background of LeFort; now, with this new one, it seems they are prepared after all to create confusion with Omer, as their other strong Belgian blonde ale... Anyway: thick, cobweb lacing, frothy, beaten egg-white head over a pure golden blonde beer with fierce sparkling. Aroma of banana (isoamylacetate - unsurprisingly), white bread, apple, minerals, honey, orange peel, gin, whipped cream, sweetbread, peach. Fruity, mildly estery, sweet onset (banana, pineapple, peach), sharpish carbo, some light sourish gooseberry accent somewhere but some white candi sugar sweetness too, creamy and smooth body, lightly bready and a tad caramelly malt sweet, light grassy hop touch in the end without significant bittering power so that the banana, white candi sugar and malt sweetness keep dominating, with some warming, ’jenever’-like alcohol on top. Not a bad tripel per se, but I really don’t see the point in yet another overly sweet cliché tripel.

Maitseb suht nagu karmeliet, puuviljane, nisune, alkone ja väga magus. Nats happelisust ka. Ok, ma eelistan rohkem westmalle tripeli stiilis asju.
