At the mouth of the Camel Estuary in Rock, lies the treacherous Doom Bar sandbank, the inspiration for this moreish amber ale.
The sandbank is revered as a formidable nautical challenge that should be approached with respect and navigated with skill.

23/9/2019. Cask at the Windmill, Stansted. Pours clear dark amber with a ruby brown tint and a lasting off-white head. Aroma of fruit, malt, toffee, hint of berries and molasses. Medium plus sweetness and light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Looks good, too sweet, massively overhyped, but brought by Cornwall count back to 100 for a second time.
