Delicious mushroom. But not super long loving.

Whipped eggwhite-like head, frothy, over well-carbonated clear old golden beer. Toasted nose, slightly earthy. Something sweet, perfumey, and suggesting meaty esters. Gradually more and more caramel creeping into the nose. And warming up, I get indeed an aroma as from mushroom soup. Earthy, musty,... and sweet. Caramel, candi sugar. A bit oxydized too - label mentions 2017, which might explain something. Rainwater flavour, sweet straw, dried malts. Quite light, feels rather lowly carbonated. Gristslickness, filmy. Somehow I harboured higher expectations. Then again, the simple fact of finding this bottle in Flanders constitutes a small miracle in itself. Thanks to Martin T for pointing to this idiosyncratic brew in his book!
