Compagna di momenti speciali, Amber Shock sprigiona un bouquet di aromi inaspettati e seducenti. Conviviale, allegra, provocante: se si indugia nella sua dolcezza ipnotica, è facile perdere la cognizione del tempo e dello spazio.

On tap at Birrificio Italiano, pours a cloudy dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma has a nice bready caramel malt base, with light toasted nuts in back. Flavour has a reasonably deep maltiness—toffee, bready malt, a touch of burnt sugars—with a very dry finish. Clean and malty, satisfyingly brewed. Good.

Old rating from 16-08-15 - 330ml bottle, brought back from Italy by a friend for my home collection - Pours a cloudy brown ale with a white head. Aromas of fruits & malt. Tastes of caramel, fruit, malt & hops. Feel is of medium carbonation. Overall a decent enough beer, but not what I'd call a Doppleback.

0.33l bottle many thanks to Lore. Hazy amber body with a beige head that lasts for a very long time. Lots of caramel malts and nuts in the aroma with notes of orange zest, raisins, grapefruit and even some cherries. Raisins and cherries are stronger in the taste than in the aroma. Caramel shows up in the sip too so as orange zest. There is a generous amount of grapefruit-like and floral hops in the finish. Kind of like a well hopped dubbel but with thicker body. Great one. Wow.

Beautiful appearance of copalescent reddish dark amber colour and one inch of creamy beige-ish ecru head which lasts for several minutes even in a trappist-style glass; aroma and taste of toffee, toasted rye bread, prune, dried cherry, ripe dark berries, raisins, some nutty slight anise, licorice and resiny hoppy notes; great beer, for sure! I'm really amazed!
