A reddish copper brown ale with a thin superlacing moka head. In aroma, nutty malt overlayed with vanilla, coffee and sweet chocolate. In mouth, a smooth brown ale with sweet moka, quite beautiful, rich and balanced. On tap at brewery, Jan 5 2011.

Bottle thanks to drowland. Pours dirty brown with tan head. Nose is extremely expressive fresh cuban espresso beans, flaked oatmeal and caramel malts. Taste follows suit. I didn’t detect the chicory initially, but after reading the description and retasting it is in there.

Draft. Clear brown body. Frothy, big-bubbled, off-white head. Enticing aroma of espresso, roasted malts, milk chocolate along with grapefruit and floral hops. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and livecly carbonation. Nice coffee taste backed with chocolate, nuts and vanilla.

Growler shared by Kyle, thanks! Poured a hazy brown with an espresso brown head that dissipated slowly to the edges. Aroma had a strong espresso note with some underlying dark and sweet grains. Flavor was more balanced with dark grains as the espresso starts strong but mellows toward the finish.

Cask at CCB, courtesy of sebletitje, a.k.a. SeaBass - thanks! My first beer at Cask for a Cause. Very murky and chunky brown, edge head. Aroma of Starbucks. Body is thin, but reasonably well balanced, coffee permeates everything. Decent.
