33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of light malts, hint of sweet bread, lemon. Flavour is light to medium sweet, light malty, just a touch herbal, light floral, lemon, nice crisp bitter finish. Light-bodied. Refreshing, and a tad better than your average lawnmower.

355ml bottle. Pours golden with gentle bubbles and a thin head. The nose is dominated by a grassy/herby note against a pale malt background. The taste has a very dry bitter salad (raddichio?) note which grows on me a bit as it goes on. The pale malt is very subtle if there at all. The palate is dry and lean with a long crisp texture that lasts into the finish. Overall, it seems a bit one-dimensional to start with but it definitely grows.

Bottle from Bine & Vine. Pours gold with a creamy white head. Aromas of bread, fruit and spice. Med body due to foaming carb. Flavor is pretty light pale malt, but there’s substantial hop - probably noble. Just goes to show a premium lager can actually be palatable.
