330mL bottle, courtesy of fiulijn (thanks a lot, Alex), pours a murky opaque orange with a small beige head. Nose brings out lots of papaya, yeast, resinous hops, and a big caramel malt backbone. Flavour is bursting with tropical fruity goodness, with loads of papaya, followed by bold resinous hops, and a nice caramel malt backbone. Exceedingly well-balanced, bold and robust. Finishes malty and fruity. Wonderful stuff.

Bottle from Legacy. Rather murky peachy tan colour. Peachy-yeasty aroma is fairly strong. Rich strong BW-like beer with yeast character, and touch of papaya brightness but not all that much.

Bottle, 9.2%. Fruity aroma, piney hops, but not too distinct. Cloudy sort of orange colour. Big stable off-white head. The flavour is sweetish at first with a good, distinct bitterness. Has a little citrus fruit, but not refreshing as such. Piney and grapefruity hop flavour. A good beer, but I think it could have been just as good with less alcohol.

0.33l bottle. This is a light cloudy copper red colored one with a nice big lasting off-white head that's leaving great lacework down the aides of the glass. The nose is strong and hoppy, lots of pine and pine cones here. I get a strong powerful malty backbone and small traces of ripe old fruits with citrus zest and a little grape. Smells absolutely alright. It's super thick, chewy and oily on the mouth which the carbonation is only prickling on the tongue. Not much to say on that. It has lots of bitter nutty yeasty elements in the taste this. A bit to much for my taste. Tons of malty caramel drops, some more ripe fruits so, but the bitter yeasty is kinda ruining it a bit for me. There is also some dry leafy and dried fruits here. Ends warming, lots of nice heat from the alcohol in the finish and aftertaste. No personal favorite double IPA but definitely fair and interesting. Almost like it's an old well aged DIPA? 26.10.2013

Hazy amber with a big and firm off-white head. Hoppy aroma of citrus and tropical fruit with malty notes of bread and biscuit. Dry and very bitter flavour dominated by fruity hops. The bitterness is somewhat sharp and harsh. The papaya doesn’t appear to make a difference
