0,33L bottle as Monk’s Brew. Pours dark ruby with tan head. The head stays. Aroma is caramel, dark fruits, and slightly metallic. Taste is sweet and bitter, dark fruits, candy and caramel. Finish is dry bitter. Overall: nice one. A lot of candy, hides alcohol well, very drinkable.

Deep reddish dark brown with big tan head. Very fruity, peach, strawberry, grapes, fruit candy. Lots of spices, fresh dough, raisin bread. Very sweet, with strong alcohol bitterness. Full bodied, nice carbonation. Great stuff, but the alcohol is a bit harsh...

Botella de 33 cl tomada varias veces en el lúpulo, la ultima en septiembre de 2013. Una buena Quadruple al estilo belga, con un gran cuerpo y 10 vol que se notan en todo momento. Bastante densa con toques bastante dulces de caramelo, pastosos y maltosos. Bastante buena y genial alternativa a las quadruples belgas. Para repetir una vez mas.

Bottle at home, from some online joint, 12/01/14. Opaque dark mahogony brown with a beige head that collapses to a covering that decided to stay for the show. Nose is stale fart, light chemical notes, soapy, mildew, dark fruit skins, dishwater, something not right here, would suggest an infection but the beer tasted fine, although slightly sour for a quad so who knows! Taste comprises dark fruits, prunes, dates, lactic ring, brown sugars, toffee fudge, nutty tones, light cocoa, touch of booze, Xmas cake, soured dark fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light boozey notes glide off in the closure. Not had many beers that have improved so much from nose to taste, decent enough stuff, must put this down for a revisit I suspect some kind of infection but still a decent drinkable affair, just could have done with a nose plug for this one at times!

bottle at home pours rather dark brown . good to big white\brown foam smells sweet , in an earthy way good to high carbo taste is sweet, earthy , caramel, some chocolate . yeasty indeed . bit bitter . sweet , earhty and yeasty back . nice !
