330 ml bottle. Dark brown, almost black body with a medium sized, dense, long lasting beige head. Strong aroma dominated by pine, but also citric fruit and good malt. Flavor is sweet, dark, soft malt, citric fruit and pine with good bitterness. Fine body and nice bitter and malty aftertaste. Very nice and balanced, not really an IPA, has a lot more in common with a black IPA, but who cares. Ready for this one anytime.

Tap at Bar Animal. Deep golden, low carbonation, golden creamy lace. Bisquit malt, earthy/strawberry, herbal and citric hops. Chewy mellow mouthfeel. Flavourfull strong bitter, and a good one at that.

Draft @ Hoppy Loft.

330ml bottle from Beer Ritz. Marmalade / citrus nose from the bottle, pours dark with a fluffy beige head.. lots of bitter rye with an aftertaste a bit like those Guinness crisps that were on sale for about 10 minutes last year. There’s a sweetness in there, a little citrus with a few sultanas. Not bad.

On tap @ Olympen. Oh, it's really really deep and dark for an IPA. Brown and a bit rubyish cloudy with a small kinda sidesticking beige top. The nose has lots and lots of dark hoppy goodness. Smells a bit of rye and bread with lots of dark slightly burned - and chocolate notes. Smells a lot this, and I'm really enjoying this aroma. Lovely flavor as well. Says on chart board that this is a IPA, but this is more a well hopped amber IMO. Rich oily mouthfeel on this and then carbonation is mild, creamy and prickling. Bitter chocolate biscuit , lots grassy hops with a thick malty sweet dark caramel sweetness in there base. It's really loaded with flavor this. Have to admit that this is absolutely my kind of beer. 17.10.2013

330ml bottle. Dark red colour, foamy beige head leaving some lacing and aroma of malt caramel with raisins & floral, fruity, citrus hop. Taste is biscuity malt with roasted notes and orange & grapefruit citrus, earthy, pine, hoppy bitterness. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Small, all but gone fast tannish head over chestnut-brown beer with a faint haze. Caramel, even some toffee. Burnt notes mixing with fruity USA hops. A jumble at face value, but definitely attractive. Ripe banana, dry hopbales, molasses, grapefruit. Sweet / roasted / fresh hopbitterness. Maybe not the first try at this combination, but with a really novel, successfull result. Remarkably balanced flavourwise. Dark sultanas, roasted dried figs, molasses, baked pisang - and hops... Spritzy, slightly slick-caramelized; medium bodied at best. Another remarkable craft intruder in CAMRA-land. Shocking!
