Best after 16 July 2009 on the label.
Not quite pitch black, there's a good 1 finger head of tannish foam with little lacing.
Big roasted malt nose with some mild notes of chocolate.
Roasted and sweet malts in the taste, a bit of chocolate, some coffee, and an unusual but well integrated more than a hint of fruity tones. Very nice.
Medium bodied with medium carbonation, though it feels quite bubbly during the swallow, it has a good mouth feel.
It does have a slightly boozy "feel" to it so I reckon 1 at a sitting would be otimal for me.

Bottle. Black w/little head. Lots of roasted malt & coffee flavors, some bitterness to finish. Good.

Bottle. Dark, color. Nice burnt toast aroma. Like the description. It was bitter. Nice beer. All Cooper’s beers are good.

Oily, dark and rich, with modest dark chocolate sweetness and a roasty, espresso-tinged finish. Tasty.

aroma is very roasty, lots of roasted malt, some smoke, and a little bit of burnt soy sauce. flavour is very roasty, with a touch of coffee, and some lacticness to it. finish is very very roasty, wih notes of coffee, and chocolate, and a nice bitterness, excellent stout!!

Pours an intense black with a beautiful caramel coloured head. Aroma of dark chocolate and coffee. There’s also a smokey aspect to it. This is hardly a complex stout, but it’s very enjoyable.

If I consider the price, it is a pleasant stout to drink. The color is deeply black, creamy brown foam, roasted malt, coffee, hop next one!! 18.01.2017

Аромат слегка под копченый, шоколадный, кофейный немного жженого солода. Цвет черный с неплохой сливочной пеной. Вкус немного маслянистый при этом питкий и легкий. Хорошо ощущаются кофейные нотки, зерна кофе, шоколад обычный, немного ванили. При послевкусие легкая копченость, снова кофе и легкая кислинка. После уже более сладкий шоколад.

Bottle 0,375ltr: Opaque black coloured brew with an dry bitter taste with hints of roasted malts and chocolate. Quite good Stout from Down Under.
