Black in colour with a creamy tan head and delicious roasted caramel and chocolate flavours. It's hearty, robust and everything a good stout should be.

375 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget and consumed on January 16. Pours black with a fizzy mocha head that leaves lots of trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet with dark bread, chocolate, banana and some metal. Taste is sweet and malty with lots of roasted malts, dark bread, coffee and bitter chocolate. Finish is dry and bitter with coffee.

Bottle from O’Briens, Ashbourne, Co Meath. Black pour with a smallish tan head. Nose was roasted malts, chocolate and tar. Sweetish flavour with similar qualities to the nose and some dark fruit notes. Dried out a tad towards the finish. Drinkable, but stopped some way short of greatness.
