Black in colour with a creamy tan head and delicious roasted caramel and chocolate flavours. It's hearty, robust and everything a good stout should be.

A deep dark stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, light chocolate malt with light grassy hops, light coffee grind, musty character, OK. In mouth, a nice chocolate malt with light coffee notes, grassy hops, light nutty notes, light caramel, pleasant and smooth.

No head, aroma of burnt cereal and carsmel, the level of caramel is like in a dark lager which leaves an unpleasant impression, not so mich going on apart from burnt cereal and caramel, no cocoa or coffe, no stout body, just caramelly burnt malts, a dissapointment

Bottle from Cornelius. Black body with a quickly fading tan head. No lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, steel and dark chocolate. Flavour of flat Coca-Cola, treacle and dried leaves. Thin body with a watery texture. Fizz carbonation. Overly carbonated and thin in terms of flavour and body.

Flasche (375 ml) vom Bierzwerg-Versandgeschäft. - Tiefschwarz, fast undurchsichtig; reichlich dunkelbrauner Schaum. - In der Nase Mokka und blaß säuerliche Noten. - Schlanker Antrunk mit kräftigstem Röstmalz, Mokka, abgerundet mit milder Säure. Kaum malzsüß. Durchschnittlich rezent, schlank, trocken, Stout-typische „Asche“. Im Abgang kräftige Bittere von Röstmalz, weniger von Hopfen. - Schönes Stout, schlank und trocken aber kernig.

375ml bottle. Almost black colour with a small beige head. Aroma is fruity, malt, and a little chocolatey coffee somewhere. Sweet, roasted malts and chocolate flavour, light bitterness and coffee in the aftertaste. Wasn’t as strong as I expected, but quite a nice drink.

375 ml. bottle. BBF 10/10/16. Small note, I love twist-caps. Very dark brown to black. Small mocha head. Nose is licorice, heavy spices, spirit, almost faintly medicinal, heavily herbal, wood, odd, grainy, licorice & chicory coffee,… Focus on all the odd places coming from your average USA-style stout. Taste is thin, very ashy, grainy, licorice-heavy, herbal, chicory coffee, bark, old coffee grounds,… Far too thin & focused to all of these for me less inviting flavors. This probably makes more sense to Guinness Draught drinkers than fans of USA-style stouts. So heavily powder, thin, licorice & chicory heavy. Better than I remember bottled / canned Guinness Draught being but below what I am used to. Still okay.
