Bottle shared by Ansjelaah @ QDT 13. Clear amber color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, smoked malts, lightly bitter. Not bad imo, because it’s only lightly smoked even I can quite easily drink it. Low to medium body and carbonation.

Clear caramel colour, firm off-white head. Aroma of malts, light smoke, light fruitiness. Quite sweet flavour, malts, caramel. Lightly cloying. Sweet, subtle smoky finish.
Nice, but not too outspoken in flavour.

tasting glass at the brewery. Thin white head. Slightly hazy amber pour. Definite smokey aftertaste but not overpowering. Quite a decent brew.

Bottled 500ml (BBE 2011)
Clear deep amber color, small off-white head. Smokey-tobacco aroma. Medium-bodied. Caramelly, light smokey, a bit grassy hoppy. Not really German, but quite enjoyable.

50 cl bottle @ Tuulensuu, BBE 31-12-11
Aroma has some tar and a bit of vanilla. Taste cotains tar and some smoke, but is still kind of refreshing anyway.

A hazy dark reddish brown ale with a thick moka head. In aroma, a pleasant mix of pepper, cinnamon hearts, and peat. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt, with light Brett, and smokey peat notes. Medium bodied. Bottle bought at Cracked Kettle, Nov. 2006. BB 30/04/07. Tasted with Probstk, Jan 11 2009.

Bottle: Clear, shestnut-amber coloured, small off-white head with a good lace; sweetish caramelly-nutty nose with a good dash of smoked malt; relatively light bodied for a beer of 6.5%, moderate to solid sweetish-bitter flavour; lingering hoppy-woody-smoky finish with a caramelly "tail". Good smoked Bier......

(swing top bottle, purchased at the brouwerij) Clear, dark amber colour with a medium-sized and light beige foamy head. Sweet and distinctively smoke-malty aroma with a nutty touch and shy herbal hoppy notes. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied with a moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Robust smoke-malty taste with notes of caramel and herbal spice. Dry-out effect towards the smokey finish with nutty notes, caramel and a good dash of herbal hops at the very end (13.I.09).
