Vicious and viscous, this menacing brew pours opaque black with a creamy maduro-colored head. Its aroma offers seductive whiskey, chewy red wine, dark fruit and lavish tobacco. Berserker Imperial Stout invades your taste buds with in-your-face flavor. Weighing in at almost 13% alcohol by volume, Berserker is completely out-of-control. Give it a good fight.

Bottle from Whole Foods, Lynnwood, WA
Pitch black like no other beer that I had in recent times, with brown thin head; it pours rather viscous. Nice aroma of dark rye bread, the bourbon cask too is evident, and some alcohol. Thick body, almost oily; the roasted malt and sugars are in perfect balance, there is a good amount of dark chocolate, a hint of spices, black pepper, tobacco, and more than a trace of liquorice; the alcohol gently warms the tongue, but given the ABV the feeling is moderate; the bourbon flavor is less evident than the aroma; if there is one thing I could change here, I would remove the light sourness from the dark malts.
Great sipper.

Old rating from 2013, on tap at Midnight sun. Big and strong, really dark colour, smooth full taste. Wonderful.

650 ml bottle shared by Willrunforbeer last evening. 2014 vintage. Great looking thick mocha head sitting on top a pitch black liquid. Aroma is rich with molasses, maple sugar, chocolate and mild barrel.

The mouthfeel is thick, chewy and creamy. Lots of molasses up front turning into dark fruits and maple before ending on very mild whiskey barrel. After drinking half a snifter the warming of the alcohol gets nice, warms the belly. I enjoy huge stouts… this is my JAM!!! Glad I have another bottle in my cellar thanks to SHIG!
