We took the traditional IPA, originally shipped from England to India in the 1700′s, and made it bolder and more flavorful—American Style. We added new varieties of highly aromatic American hops to create a distinctive bitterness profile and an incredible hop character.

Bottled: I could sit here and try to explain the complexities of the aromas and the flavours but it is much easier to put it this way: The hoppines is just insane!!! and I love it!!

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear deep golden with a dense, off-white head leaving some lacework. Lovely peachy hop aroma. Medium body with lightly sweet caramel and fruit. Ends with a dry hop bite. A very clean and harmonious IPA. 200908

Great hazy golden orange coloured body with a nice perfect sized dense tan head - this is what an IPA should look like! Aroma of fresh grapefruit, pine, citrus, malt, yeast and a bit of grassy hops. Full-bodied; Strong assertive hop flavour up front with a potent alcohol taste and a dark maltiness fading to a bitter hoppiness - very strong for the style! Aftetaste shows the bitterness, alcohol and malt. Overall, this is almost an Imperial IPA, but shows good character. I’d sample this again, but I prefer the lighter IPAs, that are ’more traditional’! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased on 25-March-2008 at Goebel Liquor in Wichita, Kansas, sampled on 13-September-2008 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Bottle from D&J Liquor in St. Louis, MO. Slightly hazy amber color with a good off-white head. Lots of floral/citrus hop aroma over some slightly roasted caramel. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is quite florally hoppy with touches of pine and citrus - or maybe they are canceling each other - whatever, it’s hoppy. The finish is nicely bitter. It’s a very good drink.
