Rich, deep dark brown coloured body with a thick brown base and a nice, three centimetre tall microfoamed deep brown head - very nice looking. Aroma of roasted malt, light coffee, milk chocolate, figs, prunes, nuts, pecans and a touch of alcohol - nice. Medium-bodied; Assertive creamy and malty flavours at first with some metal twangs and a bit of nuttiness noticeable, along with a defined creamy flavour from the milk/lactose and a good rich sweetness from prunes and raisins. Aftertaste is nice with a light complexity and some minor chocolate flavours to couple with the malt and pit creaminess. Overall, a nice milk-based stout with a rich flavour and nice maltiness - great to sample, perhaps this has gotten better over time, but there isn’t much sediment and I don’t remember much different from when it was fresh. I sampled this 330 mL can purchased from the Skukuza Rest Camp in/near Nelspruit, South Africa, inside Kruger National Park, South Africa on 21-August-2011 sampled the fourth time after this trip going back to South Africa, in just a few hours with two kids, on 08-August-2015 where i’ll surely pick up more of this fine beer.

625ml bottle [brewed by Accra Brewery, Ghana - Thank you very much, Aziz!]. Clear, darkest brown colour with ruby red glimmer, average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, beige to tan head. Dark malty aroma with a grainy, strawy touch, hints of milk chocolate, some roast. Taste is slightly roasty dark malty, some dark malt sweetness, a touch of treacle, malt lozenge; slightly watery, not that far from some German Dunkels.

Piwo fajnie wygladajace dosc ciemna barwa ale troche czerwonych refleksow tez bylo. Kremowa srednia ale za to bardzo trwala piana. W smaku slodowo slodkawe piwo, z odrobina bananow i wanilli w tle. Biszkoptowy i lekko palony posmak. Finisz palono slodkawy.

My bottle is brewed In Ghana by Accra Brewery Ltd.
Rating from somewhere before 2008, bottle found in an African shop in Berlin

Bottle bought in Out Of Africa store, Norwich. Dark brown colour with a light brown head. Roasted, semi-sweet aroma. Sweeter to taste. Creamy texture, soft carbonation. It’s not bad.
