Draft at brewpub. Clear golden pour with a small silky off-white head. Malty aroma with some sweet notes. Taste is sweet, bready and not much of a hop presence. Quaffable, but reminds me more of a golden ale. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pale Ale on 05 Sep 2021 at 20:43 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Original review text: Draft at brewpub. According to the menu, this is an updated recipe @5.4%, and looks nothing like the descriptions from Buckeyeboy and Indiana Red. Clear golden pour with a small silky off-white head. Malty aroma with some sweet notes. Taste is sweet, bready and not much of a hop presence. Quaffable, but reminds me more of a golden ale.

On tap at the brewery pours amber color topped with a small head. Nose is nice caramel malts some pine citrus hops and a little spice. Taste is more of the nice sweet malts and a well balanced hop bill.

On Tap at the Boise brewery/taproom Clear rather dark amber pour witha thin skin of tan bubbles. Carmelized amber toasted malts. Woody hop bitterness and flavors. Nicely bitter and well atenuated. Still, more like a red ale or a hoppy amber. Pretty malty. Lingering woody bite.
