Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is brown and dark malt with caramel, touch of roast, hint of brown sugar, low on the dried fruits. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and fairly bitter for the style. Medium body. Dark malts, bit roasted, bitter, not bad.

Clear mahogany brown colour with thin head. Rounded floral bitterness akin to a Czech pils. Next to that nutty malt and a hint of caramel.

Glass at van moll, dark amber beer, small head. Aroma is malt, caramel, hops. Taste is the same, bitter, sweet, not bad

Bottle shared with Laura. Appearance is red brownish with a h huge sized foamy off-white colored head. Aroma and flavor are malts, leaves, slightly metallic but in a good way, with a pleasant soft sweet note and some earthy maltines in it. Very well done actually. Surprisingly good to me.

Flesje gekregen van Tomhendriksen en thuis gedronken. Diep donkerbruin bier met mooie beige schuimkraag die uiteindelijk als een film blijft liggen. Aroma is chocoladeachtig en moutig met een vleugje hop. De smaak is moutig en en caramel-achtig. Nasmaak is iets bitter.

Ruby red brownish coloured. Caramel malts, bit of dried fruits, slight toastiness, perhaps a bit sharp. A bit watery.

Fles 33cl thuis gedeeld. Oily, caramel, chocoladetonen, rood fruit, zoet, redelijk koolzuur, hazelnoot, vrij droog. (28-11-2020).

330ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Weak, dusty yeasty, slightly toasty and nuttily, dark malty aroma, hints of hazelnut, weak, tart-ish, tannic overtones of green wood and mustard, even wasabi. Taste is sweet-ish and slightly dry, minimally tart, toasty and nutty, dark malty, hints of hazelnut, a minimally tannic touch of green wood, some resinous and grassy hop. Oily texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Well crafted concerning secondary qualities (appearance, mouthfeel), somehow contradictory regarding primary qualities: nutty and toasty malty components are indisputable; I guess that your particular estimation, if you like this Bock or not, depends on your valuation if you see the tannic and spicy aspects as flaw or innovative - I'm not sure and vote for the sneaky middle ground.

Fles gekocht in Tilburg. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een beige schuim. Het heeft een moutige wat caramelachtige geur. De smaak is moutig, zacht zoet en en caramel achtig met tonen van chocolade.
