Bottle (from De Molen Shop) on the 17.56 Brussels - St Pancras, post Borefts ’13, 29/09/13. Murky amber with a thin off white covering. Nose is bitter orange, rye, caramel, hops, light soap. Taste comprises orange pith, light soap, rye evident, orange marmalade, touch of grapefruit, spelt, straw. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish with a little hop bitterness. Touch too soapy this one which spoils what would have been a reasonable IPA a little.

Bottle from Cornelius. Deep murky brown body with a thick off-white head. Nice lacing. Sweet caramel aroma with hints of lime. Sharp citrus zing, orange marmalade and a light rye spice. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation. A decent IPA, but I preferred De Molen’s Alive & Kicking.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy deep earthy amber with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a good amount of citrus with a touch of earthy grain and grass. Flavor has more of a grass and grapefruit combination with a bread backing.
