Amsterdam. Bottle in my hotel room. Hazy amber beer with a good pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and slightly airy with good minerally sharp carbonation. Light caramel malt, some cream. Great mixture of floral hops and lesser orange, orange marmalade and lemon. Little rye spice. Finishes semi dry with a light fresh orange linger. A delight!

Bottle from De Molen web shop. ABV 7.1%. Hazy red brown color with medium off-white head. Strong aroma of aromatic hops, tropical fruits, green tea. Taste, malt with honey, metallic notes, citrus hops. Long hoppy finish. Tasty.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning, ABV is 7.1%. Light-brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of tea, some pumpernickel, some weird tropical fruits, citrus, wet hops, very tea-ish, green leaves. Flavour is leafy hops, pine/resin, again the weird fruity notes, rye bitterness, leafy hoppy bitter finish. Light-bodied, a bit sticky. Iβm not a fan of the leafy hoppiness they have in most of their hoppy beers recently.

33 cl from De Bierkoning @ home. Hazy, red-brown color. Off white to light beige head, quickly receding. Aromaβs: wet hop, herbal, rye/pumpernickel bread. Some acidic bitterness retronasal (high alpha acid). Flavor is moderate bitter and malty sweet. Medium bodied. Rather low carbonation. Finishes bready, herbal and eventually rather bitter.

Tap at De Molen. Poured a hazy orange amber with a frothy tan head. The aroma is rich malt leading to a medium to weak bitter flavour, with some grass, malt, liqourice and a touch of pepper spice on the chewy but super smooth palate. An IPA for connoisseurs!

Draft at Haarlem beer festival. Pours cloudy brown with a white head. Aroma is funky tart fruit, nothing remotely resembling being a rye ipa as it was listed as. Flavour is over light sweet and light heavy acidic. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Was it intended to be like this?
