Our traditional Pilsner is the result of a continued, iterative focus on lager brewing. This fine-tuned, German-influenced recipe features classic lager yeast, a grain bill of primarily Bohemian floor-malted pilsner malt, plus Hallertau Magnum and Saaz hops and extended lagering in our horizontal tanks.
Pilsner pours a glimmering straw color with a fluffy white head. Aromas of whole grain bread crust and a touch of satisfying malt character hit the nose. These flavors follow on the palate, with a balanced sweetness and subtle, noble hop bite. A crisp finish keeps this medium bodied beer refreshing and easy to drink.

Pours clear gold into a tulip. White head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Hay aromas. Crisp with sweet bread and hay upfront turning to soft saaz before the lasting earthy finish.

Canned and drunk 1/2/19.
Clear brass-gold. White head atop is small, showing moderate-to-moderately-low retention.
Floral hops mix with light, gentle mineral from the yeast. I think this one was most like Pilsner Charlie? Very little of the white grape and apple or strong sourdough of the other two, though there are touches of it here. Soft and clean with dainty honey, flowers and dried herbs lingering.
In the mouth it's round, well-malted and nicely dry with pretty tight carbonation and a good mix of honey-like malt, floral hops and biscuit on the finish. Zesty carbonation and quite substantial for its small stature. Clean and refreshing. A bit less characterful than the Permutation line - seems like they wanted to play it very safe here - but it's excellent and crisp and clean.
