(Bottle, Double Red Ale -- shared with sayravai and T. J. Uominen, thanks -- at Pikkulintu on 2009-01-27) Red and hazy. Small white head. Hops and malts in nose. Full bodied and dryish palate with medium carbonation. Malts, lot of hops, saltiness, salty liquorice, bitterness and light sweetness in taste. Bitter and malty aftertaste.

Bottled at Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy roast red, brief head. Strong aroma of perfumy lychee with estery alcohol and roasty malt undeneath. Fairlysweet with some vanilla, roasty bread with butteer, slivoic and good amounts of grapefruit and mango. Warming and potent, yet slim. the bitterness is kept at relaxed levels in a chocolatey finish.

Bottle. Pours a reddish amber color with a small off-white head. Malty hoppy bitter aroma with pine needles hints. Sweetish warming malty hoppy pine needles flavor. Sweetish warming malty very hoppy finish with a long bitter aftertaste.

Pours cloudy brown/amber. Aroma / taste is hoppy with light bitterness, (cheese/earthly like yeast presence), lightly malt with some caramel. Was not really impressed by it. Would try again and get a better opinion.

Bottle 66cl. @ Amerikaner blindsmagning @ Papsoe, Bottle #17.]Light unclear medium orange amber color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lancing, fully diminishing, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramel, vinous, moderate hoppy, orange, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - oily, carbonation is soft - flat, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. Very nice balanced. (190608)

Bottle. Ruby beer with a light tan head. Grapefruit/pine aroma with richer malts. Caramel, grapefruit/pine resin flavor with some nuttiness and richer malts. Medium-plus bodied. Grapefruit, pine and caramel linger. Good bitterness. Good aggressive balance between malt and hops (it’s not a "balanced" beer, but it comes together nicely).

One word ...YUCK !! Amber with thin fast fading beige head. Alcoholic cyrstal malt nose, light hops. Starts sweet, then some hops, which are immediately overshadowed by a harsh alcohol bite. Unpleasant lasting bitter end. Rough and unfinished like a poor quality barleywine
