The history of the bible and religion is indeed the struggle of good vs. evil. Our Serpent’s Stout recognizes the evil of the dark side that we all struggle with.
This is a massively thick and opaque beer that begs the saints to join the sinners in their path to a black existence.

Poured into a taster showing deep black with a finger of latte colored foam. Equal notes of soy sauce, toasted malts, caramel and cappuccino on the nose. The palate shows a full body, aggressive carbonation, black coffee with notes of roasted malts, slight coffee tartness and hints of smoke. The finish shows a strong espresso bitter finish and some spiciness from the carbonation. This is a BIG stout!

Bottle from 2009. Looks really, really good. Beer in the glass deep black, oily, almost no head. Heavy malty aroma. Starts intense malty, roasty, oily, notes of coffee and some liquorice. Finish with bitter background. Warming-malty. Strong, but not alcoholic. Really good beer!

W smaku kawa, raczej mocna gozka kawa, ciemna czekolada z duza zawartoscia kakao. Alkohol niewyczuwalny, tak jak lubie, ciemna ciecz, gesta i oleista. Wytrawne i gozkie na koncu, bardzo dlugo utrzymujacy sie gozki finisz.

On tap. Pours black with short tan head. Aromas of black oily coffee, vanilla, and heavily roasted malts. Flavors of dry dusty dark chocolate, chicory, vanilla, light coconut, and dry dark toasted malts. Right on.

Bottle. Yes, this is the real deal. Black beer, small head. Soft aroma of coffee and roasted malt. Taste of coffee, cacao, roasted malt, all with a velvet creamy mouthfeel and a long lingering aftertaste. Rich and amazing beer.

750 ml bottle. Bottle date of 12/24/ 2013. Pitch black color with almost no head. Aroma is roasted malt, licorice, dark fruit and ash.
Flavor is pretty much the same. Low roasted malt notes. Full body and what I look for in an imperial stout. Rich, creamy texture over the tongue. Flavor is very licorice dominate with hints of dark fruit ash and plums. Alcohol is only lightly notable at this juncture. No hop element at this point, soft Carbonation. You better like licorice flavor in your stout because it is here in abundance.
