This traditional style German wheat beer remains unfiltered to preserve its natural smooth flavor and aroma. Don't be alarmed by its cloudy apperance or noticable sediment. The slight banana and clove aroma comes from authentic German Hefeweizen yeast. Crafted from winter wheat, two-row malt with Mittelfrueh and Tettnang hops. It has a light and refreshing finish

Bottle from the Folsom BevMo. Pours hazy orange gold with a slight white head. Strong aroma of clove backed by citrus. Near med body. There’s a lot of clove, and it almost covers the banana. With time the banana gets a bit stronger. The wheat is sort of dusty. Mostly this is clove. It is pretty drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a hazy light gold with a small white head that leaves plenty of lacing on the sides of the glass. Aromas are lightly grassy with a little bit of banana to them and maybe some cloves if I think about them and then take a sniff. Flavor is odd... both thin and full... at times it seems awfully watery, but then a split second later and it is a full mix of bananas, cloves, hayfield and something bubblegum-like. It’s refreshing and light on the palate, making this perfect for lawnmower season.

Bottle @ home. Moderately hazy, yellow-orange appearance with a fluffy, cream colored head. Spicy yeasty, fairly strong banana and clove, nice wheat malty nose. Pretty creamy sweet wheat malty, moderate citrus fruits, strong banana, moderate clove, spicy yeasty flavor. Yeasty, bready aftertaste. Pretty solid German Hefeweizen from an American brewer.

Traditional nose of banana, bubblegum and wheat. Slightly hazy in color. Light, smooth, clean and refreshing. A very well-done wheat beer, with the classic German yeast and hops present in the brew. They did a good job with this Hefe. Very easy to drink. I wish I could find this in a six pack and not just the 12 beers of summer mix pack.

Overall Impression: Typical of the style, but not really good or bad, banana and clove, a beer you always see in the Saranac mixer as well.

12 oz. bottle. Hazy golden orange color with a medium quickly disappearing head. Pineapple and orange are a little over the top in the aroma along with some yeast and bubblegum. Taste is pineapple, yeast, cotton candy, lemon. Thin body.

Bottle drunk on 7/22/07, compliments of the people who gave me a ride to Oneonta after BCTC when I lost my car keys.
Lightly hazed, soft lemon-gold appearance, with a touch of orange. Plentiful bubbles create a medium-sized white head that settles to cover, leaving little/no lacing.
Lots and lots of banana in the nose, with a tangy clove and wheat combo that does add some zip. To be honest, I think it’s probably the hops talking as well, and that’s pretty impressive. No metallic notes, no alcohol, flaws that I could find. Low on the bubblegum and vanilla, medium sweetness.
Maybe a touch of diacetyl in here? Seems a bit too buttercreamy/vanilla-like though there is a pronounced spicy finish, though even that is somewhat dulled by the wheat softness/nuttiness. Medium-bodied with average attenuation and some pale malt sugars smoothing over the palate. Passable and fully inoffensive. Moderately carbonated.
